The UDI Reference Implementation represents many person-years of work.
It does not cover every possible corner of the specification, but is
complete enough to be quite useful.
By making this project available, we hope to:
- Grow the knowledge base of UDI by giving more people hands-on
experience with it.
- Provide a discussion forum to share development issues.
- Have a place to release continued improvements.
- Grow the number of OSes with UDI environments.
- Encourage and facilitate the development of UDI drivers.
